Performance By Design

Performance problems rarely live in just one place. Elevate2Grow uses the Performance by Design Framework to look across the connected areas that shape performance, identify where the friction is concentrating, and determine where focused change can create the greatest impact.

Most issues are not everywhere at once. They tend to concentrate in one or two areas. The framework helps us find the bottleneck and focus the work where it matters most.

Find the Pattern → Identify the Bottleneck → Focus the Work

We keep hiring people who interview well and then underdeliver.

The interview showed how they present. It couldn't show how they'd perform in the seat.

EXPLORE SELECTION & HIRING →

If I'm not in the room, the decision waits for me.

Your team may have authority on paper without the clarity or confidence to use it.

EXPLORE LEADERSHIP →

We promote our best performers and then watch them struggle.

They were never developed for the seat, only rewarded with it.

EXPLORE DEVELOPMENT →

We talked about this three weeks ago. Nothing happened.

Follow-through that depends on reminding isn't accountability. It's memory.

EXPLORE ACCOUNTABILITY →

People are polite in the meeting and honest in the hallway.

The real meeting is happening after the meeting.

EXPLORE CULTURE →

Every department is hitting its goals. We're still missing ours.

Departmental goals were never designed to add up to the company's goal.

EXPLORE ALIGNMENT →

We have a plan. I'm just not sure we ever actually decided.

A strategy nobody committed to is a document, not a decision.

EXPLORE STRATEGY →

If she left tomorrow, we'd be in real trouble. And we all know it.

Hope is not a succession plan.

What these patterns have in common

Recurring performance problems are rarely isolated. They are often connected to one or more of the areas that shape how an organization performs:

Selection | Leadership | Development | Accountability | Culture | Alignment | Strategy | Succession

The Performance by Design Framework helps us look across those connected areas, find where the pattern is concentrating, and identify the bottleneck that deserves attention first.

What appears to be an accountability problem may begin with alignment. What looks like a team problem may begin with leadership. What looks like a hiring problem may actually begin with role clarity or selection.

The goal is not to fix everything.

It is to find the right place to focus first.

Recognize more than one? That is not unusual .

Patterns cluster. The Leadership Design Checkup is ten questions, takes two minutes, and shows you where your gaps concentrate, so you start in the right place instead of the loudest place.

TAKE THE LEADERSHIP DESIGN CHECKUP →

Whichever sentence made you stop, start there.

You do not have to know whether the issue is leadership, accountability, culture, strategy, or something else. Tell Tracy what keeps happening. The first conversation is about understanding the pattern, where the friction is showing up, and what may deserve attention first.
