Projects Stuck? Make Work Flow By Design

When talented people struggle in the wrong roles, energy drains and projects stall. This workshop uses Patrick Lencioni's Working Genius framework and assessment to show you where work breaks down, why execution gets stuck, and how to reorganize who does what so people operate in their genius instead of grinding through frustration.

Working Genius Workshop FAQs

How is Working Genius different from DISC® or other personality assessments?

DISC® measures how you communicate and behave. Working Genius measures what type of work energizes vs. drains you.

They're complementary. DISC helps you understand communication styles and conflict patterns. Working Genius helps you organize who should do what work at which stage of a project. Both are valuable, but they solve different problems.

What are the six types of Working Genius?

The six types align with three stages of work:

  • Ideation: Wonder (pondering possibilities) and Invention (creating solutions)

  • Activation: Discernment (evaluating ideas) and Galvanizing (rallying people)

  • Implementation: Enablement (providing support) and Tenacity (pushing to completion)

Everyone has natural genius in two areas, competency in two, and frustration in two. The workshop shows your team's complete genius map.

Can we do this workshop virtually, or is in-person required?

Either works.

In-person is ideal for interactive team mapping exercises and real-time project reorganization.

Virtual works well for distributed teams. Tracy uses breakout rooms to maintain engagement.

What's the difference between the half-day and full-day workshop?

Half-day workshops teach the framework. Individual profile debriefs, Team Genius Map review, introduction to Stages of Work, identification of gaps, and initial action planning. You'll understand the framework and know where work is misaligned.

Full-day workshops integrate the framework. Everything in half-day, plus practice applying genius to real projects, workflow redesign exercises, meeting restructuring, and role realignment recommendations.

Full-day is best if you want to actually want to engrain the work, not just learn the concepts.

For leadership teams looking to take the work even further, consider a leadership team reset or intensive.

How quickly do we see results after realigning work to genius?

Immediate. Teams typically reorganize 2-3 tasks or handoffs during the workshop and see energy shift within days.

Deeper workflow redesign (completely restructuring who owns what across projects) takes 30-60 days as you apply the framework to ongoing work. But you'll notice friction reduction and faster execution right away.

Does this workshop work for remote or hybrid teams?

Yes. Working Genius is especially valuable for remote teams because it clarifies handoffs and reduces the "who should do this?" confusion that plagues distributed work. When everyone knows their genius zones, delegation becomes clearer and workflow friction decreases, even across time zones.

Take Your Workshop Further

Going beyond a single event, Tracy helps organizations transform their people and their operations for long-term results that stick.
